Free bike maintenance sessions in Bradford, Halifax, Leeds and Wakefield this spring

Free bike maintenance sessions are being held in Bradford, Halifax, Leeds and Wakefield this spring, as part of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s £60m CityConnect programme aimed at encouraging more people to cycle and walk.

Attendees will learn how to carry out basic safety checks, mend a puncture, adjust and replace brake blocks and cables, and adjust gears.

Bikes and equipment are provided. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

BradfordThursday 11 April and Thursday 25 April, 10am-4pm, at BikeRight! Workshop, Unit 6, Accent Business Centre, Barkerend Road, Bradford BD3 9BD.

HalifaxSaturday 4 May, 10am-4pm, at OSCA Foundation Community Sports Hub, Forest Cottage Community Centre, Cousin Lane, Halifax HX2 8AD.

LeedsSaturday 13 April and Saturday 18 May, 10am-4pm, at Kirkstall Forge, Number One, Great Exhibition Way, Leeds LS5 3BF – just off the Leeds & Liverpool Canal towpath.

WakefieldSunday 19 May, 10am-4pm at Anglers Country Park, Haw Park Lane, Wintersett, Wakefield WF4 2EB.
