Free bike check and security marking at Holbeck Moor

Tuesday 7 September, 10am – 12pm

2 September 2021

Fancy heading out for a cycle, but worried your bike isn’t quite up to the job?

We’re offering free bike checks and minor repairs at Holbeck Moor on Tuesday 7 September, 10am – 12pm, with West Yorkshire Police on hand to provide security marking, which helps identify and verify the owner of a stolen bike.

The sessions will take place on the section of the park opposite the crossroads of Holbeck Moor Road and Jenkinson Lawn, and are open to all.

They are being held to celebrate Leeds’s new Elland Road cycle route, which has been delivered in partnership by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council, and will be officially opened later this month (September).

Can’t make it on Tuesday 7 September?

If you are over the age of 16, living in West Yorkshire and would like to cycle more, but lack the skills or confidence, help is at hand.

We offer a range of free adult cycle training sessions with a qualified instructor at venues across West Yorkshire.

From bike maintenance to learning to ride for the first time, building confidence after a break from cycling and one-to-one advanced training on a route of your choice, there is something for everyone.
