FREE Adult Cycle Training Sessions are back

Last year CityConnect funded Cycling UK to deliver adult cycle training courses across West Yorkshire through the Cycle for Health initiative.

Our qualified instructors trained 64 people to ride safely and confidently, helping people with all levels of abilities to overcome health issues, injuries and perceived fears of cycling.

CityConnect in partnership with Cycling UK are running Cycle for Health courses again which will start from 25th March 2017 in Wakefield, Keighley, Huddersfield and Leeds. Each course runs for 12 weeks, is completely free of charge and will help you to develop your cycling technique and discover new cycling routes within your area.

All equipment is provided on Site; Including a Bike and Helmet!

Here’s some feedback from those who took part last year.

“I am a lot more confident and motivated now. This is my first time on a bike in 30 years and I will be getting a bike to carry on cycling after the course ends. I am more energetic, have met new friends and have really enjoyed the sessions” - Mohammed

“I have now progressed from barely being able to balance on a bike and no confidence at all (following cycle accident at age 15) to actually riding onto cycle paths (road and non-road) and canal towpaths with my instructor who has been incredibly encouraging and helped me to achieve something beyond my own expectations” - Marilyn

“I have thoroughly enjoyed attending the cycling group, I have learned so much in such a short space of time. It has increased my physical activity and aided my recovery from a serious fall 18 months ago. I feel fitter and more confident to ride a bike" – Kimberley

If you'd to improve your cycling skills, learn how to confidently ride on the road or find a new way to improve your health and become more active, then why not sign up to a course and take that first step to becoming an experienced rider.
