Whether it is cycling or walking to work or to university, for fun or for health reasons, on their own or with others, each person’s story shines a spotlight on the benefits of travelling by bike or on foot.
Ben Turner started cycling in his second year at university as a cheap and easy way to get around. He hasn’t looked back since and now takes his bike out to the Yorkshire Dales.
For community leader Irfan Mohmed, cycling is about health and headspace. Our free adult training has given Irfan the confidence to cycle on the road and explore new routes, and now he encourages friends and family to join him.
Soffia Bowring has lost two stone since she started cycling. For Soffia, who works at one of our Bike Friendly Businesses, Sky Betting and Gaming, commuting by bike means she avoids the traffic and doesn’t have to pay for parking.
